Nicole, a life dedicated to volunteering

Nicole Mtawa is the founder of the Human Dreams foundation. Her journey of self-discovery and passion for helping others has led her on a remarkable adventure.
From an early age, Nicole rejected the conventional notion of a “successful” life. Instead of seeking security and prosperity, she sought fulfillment and adventure. Her travels took her to some of the poorest regions of the world, where she witnessed firsthand the suffering of disabled children and their families.
Determined to make a difference, Nicole founded nursing homes in India and Africa for severely handicapped children, with the goal of providing them with the care and support they need to thrive. Her selfless efforts have touched the lives of countless children and families, and have inspired others to follow in her footsteps.
Nicole’s journey has been filled with incredible challenges and adventures. She married a former street boy, Juma, and also gave birth to her daughter Julie while living in Australia. Along the way, she embarked on a fundraising journey across 7,000 kilometers through Europe in a Mini Cooper and vintage caravan, in order to raise awareness and support for her cause.
Despite the obstacles she has faced, Nicole remains committed to her mission of helping disabled children and their families. Her remarkable story is a testament to the power of courage, determination, and selflessness.
