Our Children’s Home

For Special Needs Children
in New Delhi

Our children’s home for special needs children in New Delhi, India, provides care for children with various disabilities and genetic diseases in a family-type home at the border of the city. We aim to offer the best care and therapies in a loving environment to ensure that the children feel welcomed and loved.

In addition, we conduct regular house visits for five additional severely ill or multi-handicapped children and provide them with the best medical treatment we can offer. Our work also extends to education, with the children being accompanied on a schooling path to receive an education, a precious commodity in India.

Support Beyond Physical Needs

The support the children we take care of receive is not only in the body, but also in school care. We accompany the children on a schooling path to receive an education, a precious commodity in India. Some of these children join English Medium Schools, others are being helped through private teachings. Our oldest one is currently studying Special Education at a university in Gurugram.

Stories of Miracles

Over the years, we have witnessed the miracle of care: we have seen with our own eyes how treatment, care and, above all, love have saved scores of children, completely transforming them. Finally, their faces were smiling again. Like little Ganesh, a lump of skin and bones, who we could hardly believe could still be alive. Instead, thanks to intensive care, he became a healthy child with lots of energy and will to live. We have many of such stories, of children saved at the last minute. Children who anyone would consider doomed, a lost cause, a useless intervention. But we don’t. We will not back down, we will be there with them to fight for their lives. We will try to save them, should it be even at the last minute.

Children’s success stories

Yohan and Mary

Yohan and Mary, siblings bound by the challenges of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a genetic disease that causes their skin to lack resilience and crack easily. Emerging from difficult circumstances, they arrived at our doorstep, unkempt and malnourished. Yohan, with his club feet and a misplaced elbow, underwent successful surgeries that enabled him to walk with newfound freedom. He was enrolled in an English private school, while Mary, who had never attended school at the age of 14, received private lessons and quickly caught up to the fourth grade. Today, Mary has graduated from high school and is pursuing her studies in special education, a testament to their resilience and determination.
